THE UPLEDGER INSTITUTE UK

Dr John Upledger founded The Upledger Institute in 1985. The main functions of the Institute are to teach CranioSacral Therapy, and to research and develop it further. In the 16 years since then, over 50.000 health care practitioners and therapists have studied CranioSacral Therapy with the Institute. It is based in Florida USA, but has international affiliates around the world.

John Page and Carol Houston founded The Upledger Institute UK in 1993. As an international affiliate to the Upledger Institute, we are responsible for teaching the Upledger approach to CranioSacral Therapy in the UK, and for upholding a high standard of quality among CranioSacral Therapists. We provide assistance to course participants in their learning process, with the provision of intensive workshops designed and supervised by the Upledger Institute Inc. We also supervise the setting up and conducting of local study groups and introductory courses. We assist with the examination process by enabling Certification to be completed in the UK, Iceland, South Africa and Namibia. We also provide students with educational material such as books, posters and videos.

We offer you the opportunity to bring workshops to your professional association, society, training school or department. Special terms may be available if you assemble a group of participants and provide suitable location and facilities. We can also provide experienced CranioSacral Therapy practitioners who will speak to your staff or your members, or feature in your conference programme.

We are situated in Perth, Scotland, and also run a clinic that offers both treatment to the local community, and intensive multiple-hands-on sessions for patients travelling from further away who may need to find accommodation in Perth.

See our Clinical Services page for further details.
