The Introductory Workshop provides you with experience of and insight into Dr John E Upledger’s methods of working through fascia and the CranioSacral system to facilitate therapeutic outcome. This will be of benefit to lay people wishing to acquire some basic skills to augment their family healthcare resources, especially those whose family members are already receiving professional treatment; as an introduction to The Upledger Institute’s intensive workshops for health care practitioners who may wish to expand the scope of their practice; and for those who are simply curious.

You will learn about the CranioSacral system and its discovery. You will learn how to palpate the CranioSacral rhythm anywhere on the body, and to differentiate that rhythm from the Cardiac pulse and the Respiratory pulse. You will be shown how to stop the rhythm by inducing a Still Point. You will be introduced to working with the fascia and direction of energy, to the concept of "The Inner Physician", and to the therapeutic implications of CranioSacral Therapy. Finally, you will be given a demonstration of the techniques that are explored in the Institute's more advanced workshops.

These Introductory Workshops offer a broad understanding of the development and application of this safe, subtle, yet powerful approach. They are instructed by professional health care practitioners who have completed their studies in Upledger CranioSacral Therapy to the level of Advanced-1.
