What Is CST Training from Scratch?
Training from Scratch is a complete pathway to becoming a confident, qualified CranioSacral Therapist. More extensive than the Core Pack, which is designed for people who already practice as a therapist, it’s structured to guide you from your very first hands-on experience through to your final certification.
The course is designed to help you:

How it works
What’s Included IN THE CST course from scratch?
Your training includes the Upledger Core Curriculum:
* CST1
* CST2
* SER1 (SomatoEmotional Release 1) (these 3 you do twice)
* SER2
* Advanced CST 1
You’ll also receive
* 5 core textbooks + bonus CST resources
* Monthly Zoom review sessions
* Techniques Exam process
* 4 anatomy masterclasses (TMJ, sphenoid, craniosacral system & more)
AND… 3 unique additional classes:
* Becoming a Therapist (3 days – the practical “real world” stuff)
* Clinical Applications for TFS (5 days – supervised practice with real clients)
* Online Exam Prep Class (watch anytime when you’re ready)
These two in-person classes are currently run once a year – we’ll schedule the best ones for you once you get going.
Do I need Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology?
Yes. You’ll need AP&P training (at least Level 3). If you don’t already have this, we offer a course tailored to CST: the Foundation Certificate in Body Science, delivered online with live weekly support. These restart each September & January/February.
It covers many aspects of anatomy that we need to know in cranial work and are not always detailed in other courses at this level. Check it out!
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After CST1, continue through the core curriculum. You can repeat CST1 before CST2—or after. It’s flexible. You can start at any CST1 class: find the up-coming dates on our Calenders page.
You’ll also:
Attend 6 days of study groups
Have 6 one-to-one mentoring sessions
Receive at least 6 sessions from a qualified CST practitioner (including SER work)
Write 15 case studies
Complete the Techniques Exam
As everyone’s situation can be different we may need to work out exactly what you need on a case by case basis, so if you’re not sure then please give us a call so we can help find the right route for you!

‘Plenty of practice is expected between each course, so everyone has a good amount of hands-on experience before the next stage. So much learning came from ‘real-life’ treatments and my wonderful clients. We also have to do Clinical Applications, working with real clients under supervision, write up case studies for 15 clients, complete 12 essay questions and then do a multiple choice and a practical exam! I also thought maybe the exams would be just a formality but they were tough!
