Foundation Certificate in Body Science – now online!

For the love of anatomy & physiology, insight into pathology & exploration of palpation

If you are coming to train in CST without a previous background and no qualification in the ‘body science’ stuff no problem! We have an in-depth foundation course that will build the framework and layer your knowledge to give you a head start on the CST path!

The training as a whole blends the anatomy, physiology and pathology needed with a palpatory training module and all you need to know to start ‘Becoming a Therapist’.

There are 10 weeks of online lectures, demonstrations, quizzes and activities for you to complete on the anatomy and physiology. These are supported by 10 weekly, live, online sessions on Monday mornings, after which you will have access to the next week’s online material. After a break there are 3 weeks covering pathology.  Then you will have time to review and revise before the exam. The 3-day in-person session will usually be scheduled yearly.  Depending on scheduling, you may be able to begin a CST1 class before the training is completely finished.

This has been developed by the College of Body Science in conjunction with UIUK and the Cranio Sacral Society, which have ratified the syllabus and content.

So look at all that! We think that covers the start of what you need to know. It is equivalent to a level 3 / 4 qualification honed to give you what you will need as cranial practitioners. Of course, there is always more, and you will continue to broaden and deepen your knowledge as you work and progress. But we feel this is a good start. There will be some pieces of written work to be completed and an exam to help you find your own inventive ways to absorb it all!
